In this episode on Music Travel Guide Podcast I share with you five essential places to discover in Berlin’s Friedrichshain district where you’ll feel the vibes of the area.
Today I continue my journey into Berlin’s Neighbooorhoods talking about Friedrichshain: the former east Berlin district.
This neighborhood has an artistic and alternative vibe: in addition to being the home of well-known clubs such as Berghain, offers a wide variety of nightlife options, alternative music bars and fascinating places, one above all is the Raw site: a symbol of Berlin’s subculture; a former train station and one of the few alternative places preserved in the state that inspires, connects and drives artistic developments.
The majority of the area is also used for concerts halls, studios and gallery, club and alternatively cultural and event location.
In summer the offer is expanded to include open airs and flea markets with music that take place usually on Sundays.
