Located in the heart of Neukölln, GORDON is a chef restaurant with records: a very interesting melting pot of food, music, coffee, and art, combining the history of Tel-Aviv with modernity and vision of Berlin.
Today I’m going to talk about a place I discovered last summer and after my first visit I decided to understand more about his path.
The two founders are Nir and Doron: with their enthusiasm for electronic music and modern middle Eastern food they created a place to inspire people to enjoy a unique restaurant concept who combines a passion for food and love for music.
One of the distinguishing elements of this place is its environment: when you enter the location you will immediately notice the bright colours and the beautiful interior, everything built by the owners.
Also Gordon is divided in two parts. The main part is the restaurant-cocktail bar where you can enjoy contemporary middle eastern dishes. The second part is a carefully selection of the latest techno and house vinyl in a small record store.
Furthermore, djs and producer are the main characters at Gordon: every month “Dj Session” are host by Nir & Doron, where you can listen a fine selection of record diggers with a range of music styles (from ambient to house through jazz and soul).
